DENIED PAROLE!

Tuesday, March 3, 2009
"I was coerced"

Jeffrey Talani, chief of police and child molester.
Back in 1988 Jeffrey Talani plead guilty to molesting two little girls, just babies of 4 and 8.
Being charged with 20 counts of rape, kidnapping, gross sexual imposition, child endangering and drug abuse. Talani claimed "I was coerced into pleading for something I didn't do" and "I would rather die than to hurt a child". (Gee, where have we heard THAT before?)
Talani was sentenced to 4 to 10 years on one count of sexual battery and 2 years each on three counts of sexual imposition. He was also sentenced to 6 more months for obstructing justice.
Talani (the man who would rather die that hurt a child) is up for parole. The man who these little girls trusted, the whole community trusted, could be out in just a few weeks. Do you want this man living in your neighborhood? Do you want this man around children? Your children?
I know the victims and their families don't. This is what one of the victims had to say "it has been 21 years since he has been incarcerated, the information on what happened to me is a vivid now as it was then. It never goes away."
Lets help keep this creep behind bars where he belongs.
Ohio Parole Board, Department of Rehabilitation and Correction, 770 West Broad Street, Columbus, OH 43222.

60 years for rapist of 11-year-old
Peter Jacob Inouye, 26, was found guilty of three counts of first-degree rape while armed with a deadly weapon, one count of first-degree burglary while armed with a deadly weapon with sexual motivation, and one count of second-degree assault of a child while armed with a deadly weapon with sexual motivation.
“I was just a child and he took away my innocence in just 20 minutes,” the victim, now 13, told the judge at sentencing. She also blasted Inouye for not taking the stand during his trial.
The sentences for all five counts will be served consecutively, so the earliest Inouye could be paroled is in 60 years.
The judge said the reason for the exceptionally long sentence was because the child was raped three times during the Feb, 5, 2007 incident, so the judge sentenced Inouye on all three rapes.
Inouye was initially identified as a person of interest after detectives learned he had been at the victim's home for an event to help the girl’s family after her father died.

Sex offender sent to prison for 3rd time this year
A 27-year-old sex offender was sent back to prison today for the third time this year after having an unapproved relationship with a female sex offender, whom he brought back to the state-run halfway house where he lived, court officials said.
Andrew E. Sarber, a former Sheboygan man who now lists a Madison address, was sentenced to eight months in prison by Judge James Bolgert. The judge recommended the sentence be served at a mental institution, citing Sarber’s repeated violations of extended supervision.
“There’s honestly something not right that you’re able to live in our community and violate these rules so openly,” Bolgert said.
having sexual contact with a 13-year-old girl in March 2002 — has now been sent back to prison five times since January 2004. His prior violations of extended supervision included talking to two young girls after going out of range of his electronic monitoring bracelet, kissing a 15-year-old girl, trying to use another person’s credit card and bringing alcohol to the halfway house.
The violations typically occurred within weeks or months of his release from prison.
Two life terms for convicted child molester
Peter Petrosky Sr., was sentenced in Washoe County to two consecutive life terms with the possibility of parole after 20 years after Washoe County Sheriff's investigated the suspect for several months.
Throughout the course of their investigation, Washoe County Sheriff's against Children Detectives says Petrosky spent several months grooming young boys, lavishing them with gifts and other items in order to molest them.

Man gets life for sex abuse charges
The feelings of Vincent Bernard Jones’ victims were attached by a paperclip.
They had plenty to say on paper. Jones, sentenced Wednesday to four concurrent life sentences for sex-related charges, didn’t.
“You’re a nasty, sick pervert and much more,” said one 17-year-old victim. “There is no words really to explain what you are ever since you touched me with your filthy hands ... and when you die in prison, I hope you rot in hell.”
Jones, 44, was convicted Oct. 29 of first-degree rape, first-degree sodomy, first-degree sexual abuse and incest. Jurors in the one-day trial decided that Jones inappropriately touched a relative in the summer of 2007. The acts occurred in several places across Russell County but more than once at a Sandfort Road home.
“You kept promising me you would leave me alone, but you didn’t,” said another 17-year-old girl, a relative of Jones’. “You hurt me physically and emotionally. Don’t nobody know how I feel unless they have been through what I’ve been through.”

'Scariest predator' put away
Gingell was arrested again six months ago, charged with not reporting his address as many sexual offenders are required by law to do. As a result, he was required to undergo a mental evaluation.
After reading the evaluation, Judge Melba Marsh was so scared she decided to personally look into Gingell’s past.
He was diagnosed with pseudological fastastica, a disorder that results in Gingell telling lies even if the truth is better for him. That’s a horrifying diagnosis for someone convicted of sex crimes the authorities want to keep an eye on, the judge said.
Marsh suggested Gingell and others like him were so dangerous they should be forced to wear a cowbell around their neck “so everybody knows where you are.”
Child molester decries sentence in Fayette
A convicted child molester who was sentenced Wednesday to 14 to 40 years in prison told the judge he might as well have handed him a life sentence.
"That's life," lamented Raymond Edward Addis following his sentencing yesterday before Fayette County Judge Ralph Warman. "Forty years is life."
A jury convicted Addis, 48, of South Park, Allegheny County, of 23 counts of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, indecent assault and corruption of minors. Testimony during his May trial showed that Addis sexually assaulted five girls and a boy between October 2006 and July 2007 at locations in Fayette, Allegheny and Adams counties.

Cameron man gets 50 years for child porn
A Cameron, Mo., man was sentenced Wednesday to 50 years in a federal prison after being convicted of producing child pornography.
U.S. District Judge Nanette K. Laughrey sentenced William S. Price, 45, to 50 years in federal prison without parole.
Mr. Price, formerly a nursing supervisor at the Missouri State Veterans Home, received the maximum possible consecutive sentence of 30 years in prison for producing child pornography and 20 years in prison for receiving child pornography. The court also ordered Mr. Price to pay $271,675 in restitution to the victim. The charges stem from Mr. Price repeatedly drugging a minor in his custody. After she was unconscious, Mr. Price videotaped himself molesting and raping her.
“This case is a tragic reminder that, behind every image or video of child pornography that’s downloaded over the Internet, there is a very real victim who was sexually assaulted in order to feed a perverse black market,” said John Wood, U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Missouri.
Convicted child molester sentenced
Judge Michael Lewis sentenced Edrington to 35 years in prison on each count for a total of 70 years. The sentences will run concurrent, meaning at the same time.

Crackdown on sex offender sentences likely
Sen. Dick Sears, head of the Senate Judiciary Committee, said longer sentences for "habitual" offenders would not supplant existing sexual assault statutes, but offer prosecutors in the state an opportunity to apply the more severe charge in appropriate cases.
Other recommendations likely to appear in the committee's report, due in November, include expansive prevention efforts and beefed-up oversight of convicted sex offenders."We clearly have to recognize the limitations of treatment when it comes to sex offenders," Sears said Thursday. "I think the committee will be looking at strengthening laws, in terms of lengths of sentences, as well as a bigger focus on prevention programs."

Supreme Court Could Revist Death Penalty for Child Rape Decision
The highly unusual order from the court Monday stems from a glaring omission in the case: Lawyers on both sides failed to realize, and therefore failed to inform the court, that Congress had passed a federal law authorizing the death penalty for child rape by military personnel.
The court is asking the parties on both sides, as well as lawyers for the Bush administration, to file court papers on whether a rehearing is required and whether the existence of that federal law should change its analysis of the case. The briefs are due Sept. 24. A decision to rehear the case will take the votes of five justices under Supreme Court rules.
