Perv dies in prison

John Kopkowski, 42, was pronounced dead at the San Diego Central Jail at about 9:34 a.m. San Diego, Cali. time Thursday, Feb. 12. According to Bethel Police Officer Shane Bininger preliminary reports indicate that Kopkowski jumped from the second level of a building at the jail while in protective custody, falling to his death.
The Bethel Police Department began investigating Kopkowski on Dec. 12 after a Bethel computer repair technician came forward with the allegation that he had found disturbing images on Kopkowski’s computer. The Bethel PD along with the Batavia Police Department executed a warrant on Kopkowski’s home in Batavia on Dec. 14. The officers confiscated two computers which contained hundreds of images containing children in various states of nudity and engaging in sexual acts.

Mandatory Sex Offender Sentences Rejected

Sad day in Colorado. But not for pedophiles.

The House Judiciary Committee has rejected a proposal that would have required mandatory jail time for sex offenders, citing the $140 million price tag the first five years.

However, the measure (House Bill 1144) remained alive Thursday when the House Judiciary Committee tied 5-5 on a vote to kill it.

The bill would require a mandatory sentence of at least 20 years and no more than 30 years for an offender who commits a sexual assault on a child 14 years or younger, or seven years younger than the offender.

Lawmaker wants to castrate pedophiles

More than three million American children are victims of child molestation - that’s according to the Child Molestation Prevention Organization.
Almost half were violated by repeat offenders.

Now, Talladega County Representative Steve Hurst of Munford wants to surgically castrate convicted pedophiles older than 21 who’s victims are younger than twelve years old.

“You take a child who’s completely helpless. They have no way to defend themselves. And someone does something of this nature to them, you have literally destroyed that child for the rest of their life,“ says Hurst.

“If it’s an urge they can’t control… the castration certainly would take care of that problem and protect neighborhoods, communities and future victims,“ says Jefferson County Mike Hale, who supports the idea, which is now officially House Bill 252.

Hale says his deputies re-arrest at least 30% of the child molesters who are parolled.

“I think they would see this as a threat - from even committing one crime to start with. If the word got out that Alabama would castrate you if you molested a child, that would send a pretty strong message,“ says Hale.

Uncommon Desires

He's tall, thin, balding and looks a lot like Jeffrey Bezos. Lawrence Stanley is a fugitive, wanted in Canada and the Netherlands on sexual abuse charges, his last known whereabouts is somewhere in Brazil where he's hiding out to escape extradition for the charges he claims are all "false."

It didn't used to be this way though, Lawrence used to be a practicing attorney in New York who coincidentally specialized in defending men being charged with child pornography, and who also at one point defended NAMBLA. Of course, Lawrences' involvement with the subject of child pornography didn't stop at just defending his clients - outside of the court room, Lawrence was an avid defender of child pornography:

Children have enjoyed... adult-child sexual encounters...[and] being nude before a camera.

So-called child pornography-which tends to be loosely defined-is another expanding category of constitutionally unprotected speech.

There is no question but that the propaganda concerning child pornography has been and continues to be used by law enforcement officials and politicans, religious leaders, and the media to create confusion, feelings of powerlessness, and fear among the populace,

The largest child-pornography ring in the United States is run by the Government. It is possible that without Uncle Sam, there would be no child-porn business.

Stanley espoused his pedophile propaganda in the form of a newsletter titled "Uncommon Desires," which featured nude photos of young girls and described itself as "the voice of a politically conscious girl-love underground."

Some of the pedophiles who used to read "Uncommon Desires" are still around and can be found on GirlChat, continuing the rumors first started by Stanley.

I will say again that I think it's VERY strange that the government absolutely refuses (in most cases) to let objective journalists view the material to determine if it's really as 'horrible' as we are told, if it's really as prevelant as we are told, and if the kids who appear in these vids and pics are really as young as they claim. But the police continue to refuse. Are the police known for their honesty?

Like Jeff Bezos, Stanley set-up an online bookstore "Alessandra's Smile," except that Stanleys bookstore sold exclusively pro-pedophilia and 'child erotica' books and magazines (some of which are available on Amazon.com). Stanley also started his own publishing company "Ophelia Editions," which produced photographic books under the guise of "art," but which consisted of nude photographs of little girls.

There are many books for sale on Amazon.com which were published by Lawrence Stanleys "Ophelia Editions," including one book authored by Stanley himself, under the pseudonym "L.A. Stanaman." These books were published for the sexual pleasure of pedophiles, depicting children being taken advantage of - used by a pervert who manipulates the legal system. And despite our protest, Amazon.com continues to assist in, and profit off of the exploitation of these children, selling books published by a man the pedophile community describes as:

Warning over kids' holiday photos on internet

EXPERTS ARE warning parents not to put holiday snaps of their children online because they could end up in a child porn collection.

NetSafe spokesperson Lee Chisholm says authorities have found holiday photographs of children, pulled off the internet, in collections of child abuse images.

And Auckland psychologist Nathan Gaunt, an expert in online sex abuse and pornography, says some men who view child abuse images are actively trawling the internet for "child-next-door images".

"There has definitely been huge interest in `normal' images of children," Gault says. "There are people out there who do have an interest in school websites, or holiday snaps. These pictures are very real to people, so of course people who have a sexual interest in images of children find that quite interesting," he says.

He says some men will conjure up fantasies around a picture of a child, while others will find a text-based story on the internet, then go looking for a picture to match: "say, a red-headed eight-year-old".

Others, who have collections of images of a particular child being abused, will search for lookalike children on the internet to add to the fantasy.

A state appeals court has upheld the child molestation convictions and 152 years-to-life sentence of serial pedophile Dean Schwartzmiller

In Wednesday's ruling, the San Jose-based 6th District Court of Appeal rejected Schwartzmiller's arguments that his trial was marred by legal errors and that his sentence was excessive. Santa Clara County Superior Court Judge Edward Lee imposed the sentence on the 65-year-old Schwartzmiller in January 2007, after a jury had convicted him of 10 counts of child molestation, one count of possessing child pornography and one count of taking a picture of a minor in a sexual position.

"We note there was an abundance of evidence of appellant's guilt, and we are satisfied from an examination of the entire record that there was no miscarriage of justice,'' the unanimous three-justice panel wrote.

Schwartzmiller, who police believe may have molested as many as 300 young boys around the country, had previously been convicted at least nine times in various states. Schwartzmiller became a jailhouse lawyer during many of those prison stays, succeeding in overturning four convictions in appeals he wrote while locked up.

Bumper Stickers Helpful To Pedophiles

They are stickers that are becoming more and more popular on the back end of vehicles owned by families, and police say those stickers could be putting families at risk.

You've probably seen those little stick-figures on the back of cars representing a dad, mom and however many kids may be in that family. Police say this could be very helpful to a pedophile.

"Now you add in there the bumper sticker, where your child goes to school. They now have a geographical area of where you live, based on that single bumper sticker," says Sgt. Mark Marino of the Gilbert, AZ Police Department.

Police say many more of those stick-figure families are including the names of children and that makes matters worse. A criminal could have the first name of a young child, making it possible for that criminal to approach the child.

Ohio Supreme Court denies pedophile & wife custody

PERMANENTLY denying custody of children to their parents is an extreme move that is never made lightly or without good reason. So it was recently when the Ohio Supreme Court decided to deny a convicted pedophile and his wife permanent custody of their children.

The overriding concern of any court dealing with difficult custody cases must be the best interest of the children involved, and the state's high court did not disappoint in its ruling on a Lucas County dispute. In a 6-1 decision, the court upheld the action of Lucas County Children Services to remove two children from their home because of worries about their father.

The father and mother, whose full names were not used in the case to protect the anonymity of their children, were considered safety risks to the youngsters. A report alleging that one of the children suffered from shaken baby syndrome initially led child service agency officials to investigate the family in 2005.

While their investigation did not reveal whether either parent was responsible and did not produce evidence that the father had abused either his son, born in 2004, or a daughter, born two years earlier, it did expose troubling aspects of the father's criminal history. He had been convicted of molesting two young boys in 1991.

The man served prison time for three felonies related to the sexual abuse and completed the terms of his probation, but evidently not to the satisfaction of those who dealt with him in therapy sessions. Therapist testimony suggested the convicted pedophile just went through the motions to terminate his probation.

After the agency had removed the children from his home, it also expressed reservations about the lack of progress the father and mother had made in subsequent counseling. A majority of the justices agreed that the threat of a relapse of pedophilia with the father, and the mother's apparent inability to prevent it, was real enough to keep the children away - permanently.

Justice Paul Pfeifer, the sole dissenter, while acknowledging concern about the father offending again, objected to the couple losing custody of their children for something that only might happen.

But when serious risk to a child's safety goes beyond possible to probable, society is better to err on the side of protecting its most vulnerable members than to take a chance.

Convicted child molester to be committed indefinitely

A 72-year-old Alva man, who admitted to molesting five boys in the last 30 years, will be committed indefinitely to the state, a jury decided today.
Anthony Zielinski was on trial starting Tuesday under the Jimmy Ryce Act, which allows the state attorney to try to keep convicted sex offenders under state supervision after they are set to be released if a jury finds they are a danger to society.

Zielinski has been diagnosed as a pedophile, convicted in 1978 and 1988 of molesting young boys. He also admitted to molesting a boy while stationed in Korea with the U.S. Army in the 1950s.

Pedophile offered to be castrated

A pedophile jailed for committing more than 100 sex offences against Queensland children could be among the first to volunteer for chemical castration as a ticket out of prison.

Geoffrey Dobbs was handed two indefinite sentences in 2003 over crimes that included filming himself having sex with girls as young as nine.

They better cut off his hands and tounge while they're at it.

Long arm of the Law

Cindy Zarzycki is dead, and Arthur Ream is the man who killed her, a Macomb County jury decided today with a guilty verdict in the murder case against Ream, a 59-year-old convicted pedophile.

Ream will be sentenced July 22 to life in prison without parole.

The verdict, was bittersweet because it forced family and friends to fully accept that the teen was murdered April 20, 1986, despite their long-held hope she’d someday resurface alive.

Child molester to be held by state indefinitely

A Stuarts Draft man with a history of molesting young boys will remain in state custody despite completing his prison sentence after a judge ruled today he be civilly committed indefinitely at a state-run facility for sexually violent predators.

“It’s overwhelming,” Circuit Judge Humes J. Franklin said of the evidence against David C. Trainum.

We need more judges like this one!

Parents warned of possible pedophile at youth sports events

Johnson City police are warning parents, especially parents with children attending sporting events, to be alert for a possible male pedophile.

The man, described as white and between the ages of 25 and 35, was reported on two or three occasions to have exposed himself to youngsters at athletic events at North Side Park, police said.

The man was reported by some as having earrings in both ears. The earrings appeared to be horseshoe-shaped, with balls at the end. The man had dark hair and a medium build. He was wearing sunglasses, black shorts and a red T-shirt, police said.

The man left the park in a vehicle described as a newer model, bright metallic blue, sporty, two-door car, possibly a Chevrolet, with a factory rear spoiler, according to Smith.

Anyone with information may call the Johnson City Police Department at 729-9321.

Pedophile suspect found in N.J.

An actor who played Santa Claus and painted children's faces was arrested on child sex charges early Thursday after an international manhunt, just the second time Interpol sought the public's help to find a suspected pedophile.

Wayne Nelson Corliss, 58, was arrested Thursday morning in his Union City apartment. He is suspected of sexually abusing at least three boys from Southeast Asia thought to have been 6 to 10 years old, according to the international police agency.

Corliss is charged with producing child pornography and could face 10 to 20 years in federal prison if convicted, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office in Newark. He was to appear in court Thursday afternoon.

Colleagues know Corliss, who acted under the stage name Casey Wayne, as a witty man who liked to write and eschewed 9-to-5 jobs in favor of acting and entertainment gigs — including painting faces and playing Santa Claus at parties, said Raven Squire, the superintendent of the Union City apartment building where Corliss has lived for more than a decade.

Molesters hide behind victims' silence

Parents are urged to know signs, empower kids to talk

How could any adult in any community molest multiple children over several years, even decades, without getting caught?

"The simple answer is because nobody told," said Sylvia Victor, a Modesto marriage and family therapist who has worked for 20 years with Child Sexual Abuse Services, more commonly known as Parents United. "It happens often, too, that children will tell their parents, but (the adults) can't imagine the person doing such a thing.

"And younger children talk in code. So they may say, 'I don't want to go to Sunday school class.' The child thinks they just told the parents about the abuse, when the parents may think (their child) is just being defiant."

There are two types of child sexual abuse offenders, Victor said.

Fixated pedophiles: "Those are the ones we typically hear about in the news. They have a sexual preference for children. They don't have sexual relationships with adults. They'll have a tendency to (victimize) one gender and at a certain age range. When the child outgrows that age, (the pedophile) will drop that child and go to another one."

Regressed pedophiles: "Basically, they are people who have perfectly normal adult sexual relationships, but somewhere in their lives they get very out of control, and they'll attempt to get control by molesting, because of course, it's easy to control a child."

Fixated pedophiles, Victor said, often will have more victims "because that's their primary sexual outlet." Regressed pedophiles may have only one victim, or could even have a 20-year gap between victims.

"It could be male or female, whatever child is available," she said. This kind of pedophile responds well to treatment, she added.

How do you know if your child is a victim of sexual abuse? According to Victor, the signs of any childhood trauma, which could be something other than sexual abuse, include:

Trouble falling asleep, waking up a lot at night or having nightmares, often about being chased or killed

An increase in anger

Avoiding certain places or people

Sexual play or talk. For example, putting dolls on top of each other in a sexual way or telling parents "information they shouldn't have at that age."

Problems concentrating in school by children who had been doing well

What can parents do?

If you suspect abuse, Victor said, "get them to someone trained in sexual abuse; not all therapists are."

But the first thing parents should do, she said, "is empower their children. They need to talk to their children about good touch, bad touch."

She said information should start early. For example, she said, when she was giving her 1-year-old granddaughter and 2-year-old grandson a bath, the girl reached out and touched her brother's penis.

Victor used the teachable moment to tell her granddaughter she shouldn't be touching that personal part of her brother's body, that it belonged to him. A short time later when the girl again tried to grab him, the boy reinforced the message and said, "No. That belongs to me."

Make sure the children can politely say "no" to adults if they're feeling uncomfortable about something, such as hugging or kissing, Victor said.

"It teaches the children that they don't have to do the yucky things that adults tell them to do if they don't want to," Victor said. Otherwise, she said, children might feel as though they will get
into trouble.

"If you've empowered your children, they're going to tell someone," she said.

Pedophile bill clears hurdle in Legislature

Smyth, R-Santa Clarita, introduced the Surrogate Stalker Act in response to self-proclaimed pedophile Jack McClellan visiting the Santa Clarita Valley in 2007.
McClellan ran a Web site promoting pedophilia and showed pictures of children he had spotted in public places as he traveled through areas of Southern California, including Santa Clarita. McClellan, however, had not been convicted of a crime.

Assembly Bill 534 would make it a misdemeanor to engage in surrogate stalking, which Smyth said is the act of publishing photos, physical descriptions, and/or locations of children with the intent that another person uses the information to commit a crime.

"I am very pleased that my colleagues in the Senate Public Safety Committee understand the importance of this legislation," Smyth said in a statement. "As a father of two, nothing is more important to me than the safety of our children. This legislation will help ensure that our children can grow up in a society in which they can go to parks and amusement centers without the worry of being victimized by sexual predators."

Smyth first introduced the bill as urgency legislation in 2007, but the bill died in the Senate Rules Committee. Smyth's spokesman Ryan Flanigan said the bill is now headed for the Senate Appropriations Committee for review.

The pedophile message board GirlChat takes its domain name (annabelleigh.net) from an Edgar Allan Poe poem, Annabel Lee. They believe he was a pedophile and that the contents of that poem is evidence of such. But if we examine Poe's life and that poem, the assertion falls pathetically flat.

For instance, they'll say

"Poe married his 13 year old cousin Virginia when he was 27. WA LA, he was a pedo!"

The facts of Poe's life contradict the idea that he was a pedophile.

• When he married Virginia, she was NOT a prepubescent child!
  
  
• She suffered from tuberculosis. The evidence suggests that the two did not share a romantic love and never consummated the marriage.
  
  
• At that time, it was not unusual for cousins to marry and the life expectancy was lower therefore it was not uncommon for girls to marry younger than they do today.
  
  
• There is significant evidence of Poe's attraction to adult women.
  
  
• Many scholars conclude that these facts together suggest that Poe suffered from an Oedipus complex (mother fixation) or other condition stemming from childhood which prevented him from having meaningful relationships with women. In this way, it makes perfect sense for Poe to marry someone with whom he could have a platonic relationship.

The reason they chose the poem Annabel Lee is because it contains the line "I was a child and she was a child" and on the surface appears to talk about romantic love. BUT:

• Even if you take this line at its literal meaning, both the people here are children, NOT a child and an adult.
  
  
• The identity of "Annabel Lee" is unknown.
  
  
• Clearly this would not make sense if he was talking about Virginia. Indeed it doesn't make sense related to anyone in Poe's life except his first love Sarah Elmira Royster; they were teenagers when they fell in love but were separated when Poe went to university.
  
  
• Scholars have related this poem to Poe's presumed Oedipus complex and some have suggested he wrote the poem about his mother.
  
  
• Whether you take the poem at its literal or subtle complex meaning, there is nothing to suggest that it in anyway relates to pedophilia.

Close examination of Poe's life reveals no evidence of pedophilia. This is merely a pedophile tactic dreamed up to try to convince you they're ok. Even if Poe was a pedophile, they still wouldn't be ok.

Poe never had a relationship as an adult with a prepubescent child and that is a fact. The only evidence of pedophilia in his life is a series of misrepresentations of the truth.

And the antis demand that pedophiles misrepresent Poe NEVERMORE!
