Child molester sentenced to life

Robert Joe Strange was sentenced to life in prison by the Honorable David Stephens on April 24. He pled guilty to 15 felony counts on April 10. The 15 charges included counts of first and second degree rape, lewd proposals and acts to children, producing child pornography and multiple counts of possession of child pornography. There were three local victims related to these counts, including two small children and . District Attorney Bret Burns praised the Anadarko Police Department for their professionalism during the investigation. Strange, who is nearing his 55th birthday, received three life sentences plus 130 years. All the counts were ordered to run concurrently.

“Child pornography depicts children being sexually abused and tortured. These are real victims and child pornography is a stepping stone for molesters to travel from thoughts to actions,” said Burns.
